Refund Policy

Derek Arms Refund & Return Policy

At Derek Arms Academy, we are committed to delivering high-quality training and products. Due to the nature of firearms training, safety considerations, and limited class availability, the following refund and return policies apply.

1. Training Classes & Courses

Class Registration & Deposits

  • All class registrations are non-refundable.

  • Class seats are limited and secured upon payment.

  • Payments cover instructor scheduling, range use, materials, and administrative costs.

Rescheduling Policy

  • Students may reschedule once if notice is provided at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled class.

  • Rescheduled classes must be completed within 90 days of the original class date.

  • Failure to attend a class without proper notice will result in forfeiture of the class fee.

No-Shows & Late Arrivals

  • No-shows are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling.

  • Late arrivals may be denied participation for safety reasons and will not receive a refund.

Cancellations by Derek Arms Academy

  • If a class is canceled by Derek Arms Academy due to weather, instructor availability, or unforeseen circumstances, students will be offered:

    • A rescheduled class date or

    • A full refund (student’s choice)

2. Private Instruction & Group Training

  • Private lessons and group sessions require a non-refundable deposit.

  • Remaining balances are due prior to the start of training.

  • Rescheduling requires 48 hours’ notice.

  • Same-day cancellations or no-shows result in loss of deposit.

3. Retail Products & Merchandise

Eligible Returns

  • Non-firearm retail items (apparel, accessories, training aids, etc.) may be returned within 14 days of delivery if:

    • Item is unused

    • In original packaging

    • Includes proof of purchase

Non-Returnable Items

For safety and legal reasons, the following items cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Firearms

  • Ammunition

  • Holsters

  • Laser cartridges

  • Dry-fire training devices once opened

  • Safety gear (eye/ear protection)

  • Clearance or discounted items

4. Defective or Damaged Products

  • If a product arrives damaged or defective, notify us within 5 days of delivery.

  • We will assist with:

    • Manufacturer warranty claims or

    • Replacement if applicable

  • Derek Arms Academy does not provide refunds for manufacturer defects outside stated warranties.

5. Shipping Costs

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable.

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item was received damaged or incorrect.

6. Gift Certificates

  • Gift certificates are non-refundable.

  • May be transferred to another individual.

  • No cash value and must be redeemed before expiration (if applicable).

7. Policy Acknowledgment

By registering for a class or purchasing products from Derek Arms Academy, you acknowledge and agree to this Refund & Return Policy.
